I just rode the Silver Ave path, and by ‘rode’ I mean pushed my bike through six-foot snow drifts along the airport field fence. It doesn’t look good there and it appears they’ve quit clearing it! Is that still part of the course?
We took a look at that today. It’s the worst stretch of the whole course, though it’s only 600 meters long out of a 70km course and our racers have dealt with worse in previous years. None the less, being in town this year gives us more options and we do have an easy work around if need be that doesn’t lose distance and uses designated city street routes. We’ll make some decisions and route updates very soon.
